Nexstar Media Group Names Randy Ingram Vice President and General Manager of Indianapolis, Indiana Broadcast and Digital Operations

Accomplished Broadcast Executive with 35 Years of Local Media, Marketing and Sales Management Experience Returns to Indianapolis to Lead WISH-TV, WNDY-TV and WISHTV.com

INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana and IRVING, Texas – Nexstar Media Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: NXST) announced today that Randy Ingram has been appointed Vice President and General Manager of WISH-TV (CW), WNDY-TV (MyNet) and associated mobile and digital operations, including WISHTV.com, which serve  Indianapolis, Indiana (DMA #27). The appointment is effective immediately and Mr. Ingram will report to Brian Jones, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Nexstar Broadcasting, Inc.

Mr. Ingram’s professional career spans over 35 years with expertise in local news programming and content, station and sales management, new business development, digital media and strategic planning across multiple media platforms. Mr. Ingram most recently served as Vice President and General Manager of WBTW-TV (CBS) in Myrtle Beach, SC (DMA #102), where he also held Regional Manager responsibilities, overseeing WCBD-TV (NBC) in Charleston, SC (DMA #94) and WSAV-TV (NBC / CW) in Savannah, GA (DMA #91).  Under his leadership, the group of stations consistently exceeded economic goals and increased profitability.  While in Myrtle Beach, Mr. Ingram implemented effective comprehensive multi-platform marketing strategies and solutions for local and national advertisers that led to impressive revenue share growth, resulting in the complete reversal of a five-year trend of losses.  Prior to that, Mr. Ingram served as Vice President and General Manager at WRBL-TV (CBS), in Columbus, GA (DMA #127) where he produced similar results, reversing a trend of historical negative performance and significantly growing revenue share by increasing customer retention and new local direct business partnerships.

He began his local media sales career at WNDY-TV in Indianapolis, IN. Mr. Ingram started his broadcasting career in news and production at KHQA-TV (CBS) in Quincy, IL (DMA #170) and later moved on to become Station Operations Manager and Executive Producer at WFLD-TV (FOX) in Chicago, IL (DMA #3).  Mr. Ingram’s return to Indianapolis is a homecoming where he has an intimate knowledge of the market and its competitive landscape.

Mr. Ingram earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Illinois University.  Mr. Ingram and his wife, Carla will be immediately relocating to the Indianapolis area.
