Nexstar Broadcasting Brings Together More Than 22 Million Viewers Across California Via Television Broadcast and Livestream Video

SAN FRANCISCO, CA and IRVING, TX (May 27, 2020) – Nexstar Broadcasting, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Nexstar Media Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: NXST), announced today that it will host an exclusive live virtual Town Hall meeting, “Inside California Politics, The Road To Reopening,” featuring top Congressional leaders on Wednesday, May 27, 2020, at 7:00 p.m. PT.  The Town Hall will include U.S. Representative Doug Lamalfa (R-1), U.S. Representative John Garamendi (D-3), U.S. Representative Tom McClintock (R-4), U.S. Representative Eric Swalwell (D-15), U.S. Representative Jim Costa (D-16), U.S. Representative Karen Bass (D-37), and U.S. Representative Mike Levin (D-49), who will explore a wide range of critical issues regarding the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on the opening of the state of California.  Due to restrictions on large gatherings, all of the guests will remotely join the broadcast and livestream.

The one-hour virtual Town Hall will be hosted from the studios of KTXL-TV in Sacramento, CA, and bring together more than 25 million viewers across California.  The live broadcast will be simulcast on all of Nexstar’s California television stations, including KTXL-TV (FOX) in Sacramento, KTLA-TV (CW) in Los Angeles, KRON-TV (MyNetworkTV) in San Francisco, KSWB-TV (FOX) in San Diego, KSEE-TV (NBC) in Fresno, and KGET-TV (NBC/CW) in Bakersfield from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. PT.  Viewers are invited to submit questions via social media using the hashtag #reOpeningCA.  Preference will be given to those questions submitted on social media as videos rather than texts.  Viewers can also submit questions via email at: kron4submit@kron4.com

The television broadcast will be hosted by KTXL-TV anchor Nikki Laurenzo and KTLA-TV anchor, Frank Buckley.  Viewers may access a livestream of the Town Hall online by visiting the website of their local Nexstar television station.  The Town Hall will open with Ms. Laurenzo and Mr. Buckley providing a recap of the latest developments in the pandemic.  The broadcast will then move to interviews with the participating representatives and feature questions submitted by viewers.
