Lisa Washburn

Lisa Washburn re-joined Nexstar in July 2023 as Vice President and Associate General Counsel, where she serves as editorial, intellectual property, and business/operational counsel to NewsNation and The Hill. From 2022 to 2023, she served as General Counsel for Twin Cities PBS, the PBS station serving Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota.

Ms. Washburn first joined Nexstar in 2019 in connection with its acquisition of Tribune Media Company, where she had served in a variety of positions of increasing responsibility in the legal department beginning in 1998. Prior to that Ms. Washburn was in private practice in Washington, DC, with a boutique communications law firm.

Ms. Washburn earned her law degree from DePaul University College of Law, and a bachelor’s degree in communication studies from the University of Iowa.
