Martha Shoultz

Martha Shoultz was appointed Vice President/Associate General Counsel in May 2023 and is primarily responsible for copyright law, licensing agreements, professional and collegiate sports contracts, and other commercial contracts.

Ms. Shoultz joined Nexstar’s Legal department in May of 2018 from a solo practice advising technology companies.

Previously, Ms. Shoultz worked as in-house counsel for BancTec, Finastra, and VertexOne in Dallas. Her early career included a year as Briefing Attorney for the Texas Supreme Court, the General Counsel’s office of the Central Intelligence Agency, and an internship at a large law firm in Germany.

Ms. Shoultz graduated from Baylor University with a BA in German and as cum laude graduate of SMU Law School.
