Mitch Karp

Mitch Karp joined The CW Network in November of 2023 as Associate General Counsel, Affiliate Relations. In this role, Mr. Karp supports the distribution of The CW Network on the country’s largest cable, satellite, and internet platforms, as well as the network’s affiliation with broadcasters nationwide.

Mr. Karp comes to The CW after 18 years at Comcast/NBCUniversal, where he most recently served as Vice-President, Business & Legal Affairs, Content Distribution. During those years, he was deeply involved in growing the reach and revenue of NBCU’s multi-billion-dollar portfolio of broadcast, cable, and regional sports networks, as well as marquee special event programming such as the Olympics. Mr. Karp has negotiated and closed high value transactions with nearly every major network distributor and was involved in developing the content distribution strategy for the launch of the Peacock streaming service.

Prior to the merger of Comcast and NBCUniversal, Mr. Karp worked in Business & Legal Affairs at Comcast Programming Group (CPG). At CPG, he helped launch several new cable networks such as Style, G4, and Versus, and worked on the first deals that brought CPG network programming to mobile and digital platforms. Early in his career he worked for two boutique Los Angeles law firms that focused on film financing and production.

Mr. Karp has a B.S. in Journalism from Boston University and a J.D. from Southwestern University School of Law.
