Nexstar Media Group Names Jeffrey West Vice President and General Manager of Myrtle Beach-Florence, South Carolina Television and Digital Operations
Local Broadcasting Sales Management Executive with Three Decades of Media Experience Promoted to Lead WBTW-TV (CBS), MyNetwork and WBTW.com
MYRTLE BEACH, South Carolina and IRVING, Texas – Nexstar Media Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: NXST) announced today that Jeffrey West has been named Vice President and General Manager of WBTW-TV (CBS), MyNetwork and WBTW.com serving Myrtle Beach-Florence, SC (DMA #102). Since 2011, Mr. West has served as General Sales Manager of WBTW-TV where he was responsible for overseeing all aspects of the station’s sales department. Mr. West will assume his new responsibilities immediately and report to Bill Sally, Senior Vice President and Regional Manager for Nexstar Broadcasting, Inc.
Jeffrey West replaces Randy Ingram who was recently promoted to Vice President and General Manager of Nexstar-owned WISH-TV (CW), WNDY-TV (MyNet) and associated digital services, including WISHTV.com, serving Indianapolis, Indiana (DMA #27).
Jeffrey West has over 30-years of experience in the broadcast and cable television industry with expertise in local and national sales management, new business development, inventory optimization, strategic planning and cross-platform marketing. As WBTW-TV’s General Sales Manager, Mr. West directed the realignment of the station’s sales department with a renewed focus on excellence in client service and sales execution resulting in improved personnel performance and increased core revenue. In addition, Mr. West implemented sales and digital marketing initiatives that generated strong broadcast cash flows and revenue share growth, further solidifying WBTW-TV’s market-leading position.
Previously, Mr. West served as General Manager of Time Warner Cable Media’s Wilmington, NC operations, where he consistently exceeded budget and ranked among the company’s top performing mid-size markets. Prior to that, he held various sales positions at WVUE-TV (FOX) in New Orleans, LA (DMA #50), before being promoted to VP and General Manager of the station. Earlier in his career, he held sales management positions at WKRG-TV (CBS) in Mobile, AL and WBTV-TV (CBS) in Charlotte, NC. Mr. West also held Account Executive roles in Augusta, GA; Knoxville, TN and Dothan, AL where he began his broadcasting career.

Mr. West graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics. He is a current member of the 2017 class of Leadership Georgetown County and has served as a Board Member on behalf several community organizations including St. George’s Episcopal School (New Orleans) and March of Dimes (Mobile and Wilmington). He is also a Habitat for Humanity volunteer.
Mr. West and his family are current residents of Myrtle Beach.
