KTSM-TV, KTSM 9, is a legacy NBC affiliate serving the El Paso (TX) / Las Cruces (NM) DMA and was purchased by Nexstar Broadcasting Group as part of the acquisition of Communications Corporation of America (ComCorp) on January 1st, 2015. KTSM was the second TV station on the air in El Paso, and the first to broadcast its News in HD. KTSM has a strong tradition of community involvement, and currently produces 22 hours of Local Newscasts per week, plus seasonal favorites such as KTSM 9 Overtime, a Friday Night High School Football wrap-up, and KTSM 9 Sports Extra after NBC’s Sunday Night Football. In addition to Local News & Sports, KTSM also broadcasts a lifestyle show called Studio 9, showcasing the local businesses, and highlighting the best in entertainment, arts, and culture that the borderland has to offer.
