KTVI first signed on the air on August 10, 1953. Became a FOX affiliate in 1993. With the expansion of the 6P News to one hour in Sept. 2017, FOX 2 produces 68 hours/week of local news. We are the only station in the market with an 11PM news. Our positioning statement for years has been “Coverage You Can Count On.” FOX 2 is the market’s dominant news franchise. We had the most extensive presidential election coverage, and we produce political/issue-related programs every weekend. We are the leader in digital – FOX2now.com has received 137 million pageviews, the News app has received 80 million screen views, and the Weather app has received 43 million screen views (260 million TOTAL pageviews). Throughout the past year, 214,000 people have visited the FOX 2 News app, and 132,000 people have visited the FOX 2 Weather app. FOX2now Facebook has 883K+; Twitter 239K+; Instagram 86K+. Combine those with our talent pages and we serve over 1.8 million. Our email blast database is 355K+. On Facebook Live, we produce 22 regularly-scheduled news programs per week. That is in addition to any breaking news live hits on Facebook. Our community efforts include over 50 station events, raising over $16 million, and we have extensively featured 59 out of 90 neighborhoods. We have four news bureaus in prominent areas, and more potentially on the way. Our 6PM news is simulcast on KTRS radio. KTVI FOX 2 has been ranked #1 sign-on to sign-off (A25-54 6a-2a) for the past 9 years (year to date.) We partner with the FOX network and our syndicators, featuring satellite interviews, in-studio guests, and satellite talk-backs with our anchors and program hosts TMZ and Access Hollywood.
