WCTX, a MyNetworkTV affiliate, began broadcasting as an independent on April 3, 1995 under a local marketing agreement with LIN TV, owner of sister station WTNH. In 1996, the station became a WB affiliate, changed to a UPN affiliate in 2005 and then became a MyNetworkTV affiliate in 2006. Since 2000, WCTX has broadcast an award-winning 10pm newscast. The station is also proud to be Connecticut’s broadcast home for New York Yankees baseball, airing more than 20 games each season. Top syndicated programming on WCTX includes Family Feud, Dr. Phil and Judge Judy.
