Mission Broadcasting owns CW affiliate WTVW which is operated with local service agreements with Nexstar. WTVW offers a full compliment of local news. Through significant capital investment, the station’s news set and weather coverage has been enhanced, including the addition of the “Weather Outside” set. WTVW offers the area’s only primetime hour-long newscast.
In July 2011 WTVW expanded their morning news and their early news to 7 nights a week bringing the most local news to the Tri-State area. In addition to local news expansion LOCAL 7 produces local sports and enhanced local programming on a weekly basis. WTVW’s syndicated programming includes Big Bang Theory, Judge Judy and The Office. The station has broadcast the University of Kentucky football and basketball for over 20 years.
