WUTR D.4
Station Profile
WUTR ABC20 was acquired by Mission Broadcasting in Spring of 2004. With the acquisition, WUTR and WFXV-WPNY have entered into a Shared Services Agreement and Joint Sales Agreement allowing for considerable savings, reducing duplicated services and costs. The JSA created a sales team doubled in strength, selling three stations in combination. Beyond the renewed strength of ABC network prime, WUTR’s syndicated programming includes Oprah, Ellen, Entertainment Tonight and the Insider, and Access Hollywood. We believe that WUTR benefits from the combined synergy of the SSA/JSA agreement through the promotional, sales and marketing opportunities with existing and new advertisers. We have evaluated additional operating opportunities by including utilization of our regional management from the nearby Rochester, NY and Wilkes-Barre, PA markets. We have grown local and national revenue shares through the implementation of our sales systems, a greater number of active sellers in the marketplace, an improved focus on sales projects, greater community involvement and promotions.
