Nexstar entered into an agreement to purchase WVNS-TV from West Virginia Media Holdings in November 2015. Throughout its history, WVNS-TV has always held a strong commitment to the communities it serves. Today, that commitment is stronger than ever, including servicing the viewers with the best possible programming and local news coverage. Since 2016, the station has raised over $150,000 for local United Way organizations. WVNS-TV has always been a leader in new technology in the Lewisburg/Beckley/Bluefield market.
WVNS-TV’s syndicated programming includes the Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy!, The Big Bang Theory, and Judge Judy. The station airs local news 37 hours a week.
