Nexstar Broadcasting Group purchased WWTI ABC 50 and The North Country’s CW from Newport Television LLC. in July of 2012. With the purchase, WWTI ABC 50 has reentered the production of local news/information programming with the likes of ABC50 Now and Fort Drum Corner. It also produces a number of hyper-local programs for air and digital distribution such as North Country Business Spotlights, Ask the Experts, and Hometown Heroes just to name a few. WWTI ABC 50 is very active in the local community with programs such as Feed the Farmer, NNY Eats, and Beyond the Classroom. WWTI ABC 50 and its website InformNNY.com have become a local driver for commerce and community service. The station’s syndicated lineup includes The Drew Barrymore Show, Judge Judy, Dr Phil, The Big Bang Theory, and Modern Family.
