Nexstar Broadcasting Group purchased WWTI-50.1 (ABC affiliate) and WWTI-50.2 (CW affiliate), from Newport Television LLC on December 1st 2013. Throughout its history, WWTI has always held a strong commitment to the communities it serves. Today, that commitment is stronger than ever. WWTI was the first to broadcast in high definition programming – both network and syndicated, and also is able to produce and air high definition advertising commercials. WWTI-50.1 (ABC) syndicated programming includes Dr. Oz, The Doctors, Judge Judy, Dr. Phil and The Big Bang Theory. WWTI-50.2 (CW) is part of the CW 100+ Station Group. This station is fully programmed by the CW 100+ station group.
